This line of research is concerned with characterizing the cellular and molecular mechanisms and the specific neuronal pathways mediating the role of the Netrin-1/DCC pathway in the development of susceptibility/resilience to the effects of chronic stress in adulthood. Our goal is to understand how adult aversive experiences disrupt the organization of prefrontal cortex circuitries, rendering some, but not all individuals vulnerable to develop maladaptive behaviors.
